Everything you need to transform your next piece is in one box. You bring the paint color you already love.
Mix BB Frösch Paint Transformer with latex or acrylic paint, then apply it to furniture and other suitable paintable surfaces with less prep and more confidence.
In most cases, you can skip the usual sanding, stripping, and priming. Clean your surface, mix your paint, apply it, and finish with Clear Premium Finishing Wax.
One gallon-size jar of Paint Transformer can mix with up to one gallon of paint, or approximately 16 sample-sized jars. That gives you the flexibility to complete multiple projects or tackle a larger transformation.

Which bristles should I choose?
Both work beautifully. It comes down to the finish you're after.
Natural — soft and textured. Natural bristles hold more paint and wax, and leave the gentle brushstroke movement that gives furniture that hand-painted look. A favorite for anyone chasing character.
Synthetic — smooth and modern. Springy bristles hold their shape in water-based paint and lay down an even, minimal-texture coat. If you want a clean, even finish with minimal brush marks, start here.
Still deciding? Choose synthetic for a clean finish, natural for a vintage one.
How It Works
- Clean it. Wipe it down. That's your prep.
- Mix it. Two heaping scoops, a little water, stir into your paint.
- Paint it. Thin coats - 2 coats is typical. Let each coat dry completely.
- Seal it. Wax on thin, buff off. Cures in minutes.

Add Dark Premium Finishing Wax.
Dark wax does two things beautifully.
On bare wood, it deepens and nourishes the grain — the way an oil finish does, but easier. It's how you get a rich wood top over a painted base, or wood panels that glow against a painted exterior.
On painted surfaces, it settles into carved details, corners, and edges, adding the depth and age that clear wax alone can't.
Together, that's the two-tone piece you keep pinning.
How to use it: On raw wood, apply dark wax directly and buff. On paint, apply clear wax first, then work dark wax in where light and time would naturally darken a piece. Corners, crevices, edges. Buff back until it looks right to you.
