Paint and wax left inside the bristles can dry, stiffen the brush, and make your next project harder than it needs to be.
BB Frösch Handmade Brush Conditioning Soap cleans and conditions natural and synthetic bristles in one step, helping keep your paint and wax brushes clean, soft, and ready to use again.

How to Use It
1. Wet the bristles. Hold the brush with the handle above the bristles and wet only the brush head.
2. Add soap. Swirl the wet bristles over the soap two or three times.
3. Work up a lather. Gently massage the bristles in the palm of your hand, working the soap through the brush head.
4. Rinse bristle-side down. Keep the handle above the bristles so water flows down toward the tips instead of into the ferrule.
5. Repeat if needed. Continue washing and rinsing until the lather stays clean and the water runs clear. Some color staining may remain on the bristles even when the brush is clean.
6. Reshape and dry. Gently squeeze out excess water, reshape the brush head, and lay the brush flat to dry.
When Should I Use It?
Before using a new brush. Washing and conditioning helps release loose bristles before they end up in your finish. After rinsing, tap the bristle end against the edge of the sink to remove any loose ones. You may want to cover the sink edge with a towel first.
After every use. Clean paint or wax from the brush before it has time to dry inside the bristles.
Before your next project, if desired. You can wash and condition your brush again before using it. Rinse away all the soap and remove excess water. Paint brushes may be slightly damp when used with water-based paint, but wax brushes must be completely dry before waxing.
Keep Water Out of the Ferrule
The ferrule is the metal section where the bristles are secured to the handle.
Never soak your brush, leave it standing in water, or rinse it with the bristles pointing up. Water can travel into the ferrule and weaken the adhesive holding the bristles in place.
Always wash and rinse with the handle above the bristles so water flows down and away from the ferrule.
